Orphan Care Partnerships
A model Saddleback Church has set up to care for orphans

You are God’s hope for the orphan! Saddleback Church has made Orphan Care a signature issue of our church because it is clear in God’s Word, God never forgets the orphan. God cares for the orphan. God wants all of us to care for the orphan.

You, and your church can start ministries and get involved in your local community and around the world.

Local - There are things you and your church and do to care for orphans and vulnerable children in our own community and surrounding areas:

Foster Support: You can come alongside a foster family and foster child.

Become a Foster Family: Think about becoming a foster family.

Mentoring: Befriend and support children in your own community.

Global - Caring for Orphans around the world: Learn how you can become involved in Saddleback’s ground-breaking new PEACE Plan partnerships which offer new ways to support orphans in their own communities through the church around the globe.

Rwanda Orphan Care Initiative: The goal is to have the local church be the solution to the needs of orphans. Participate in this innovative menu of ways to help the local church care for 1,000,000 orphans in Rwanda.

Give to the Initiative: Donate to the Rwanda Orphan Care Initiative (Project PA02) online at www.rwandahealthcare.com or the Orphan Care Initiative (Project PA12). MonicaB@saddleback.net

Sponsorship: Saddleback has begun its own church-initiated/church-based sponsorship program in Rwanda. Sponsor a child today. orphans@saddleback.net

P.E.A.C.E. trips: Travel on orphan-focused P.E.A.C.E. trips.

Adoption: Are you interested in adoption or know someone who is? Join this team to learn how you can come alongside waiting families and adoptive families with information, support, and resources

Support Groups: Start a ministry for families who are in the process of adopting or who have adopted.

HIV Adoption Support Group: If you’re thinking about adopting a child who is HIV positive, or have a child in your home, join others with similar life experiences.

Give: Help families who want to adopt by giving to the adoption assistance fund through the Saddleback Orphan Care Initiative. (Project Number PA16) danh@saddleback.net

Psalm 10:17-18 “The helpless put their trust in You. You are the defender of orphans Lord, You know the hopes of the helpless. Surely You will listen to their cries and comfort them. You will bring justice to the orphans and the oppressed, so people can no longer terrify them.”
