Hi,
This is Paul Pennington from FamilyLife’s Hope for Orphans, and this is my prayer request for the Global AIDS/HIV conference.
"Lord, I do come to you today and I ask you to please be working even now to bring the people that you want to come to the Global AIDS/HIV conference at Saddleback.
I pray, Lord, that at this event, if it would please you, that you would reveal to this audience how great is your love and your heart for the orphans, the fatherless, and the child who has been left with no family because of AIDS.
Lord, I pray that you would raise up an army of churches and families that will be available to you for how you want to use them in the life of the child who is fatherless. I pray, Father, that you would bring about a movement of your Spirit in such a way that there would be an amazing response by the churches that are represented at this meeting to follow your command in James 1:27 to visit widows and orphans in their distress.
And I pray, Lord, that they will do so in such a way that they will be committed to the idea of orphans ministry in their church, in their families. Because we know that one church can make a difference for eternity in the life of a child.
Lord, thank you for Rick and Kay Warren and for Elizabeth Styffe, and those leading this event. We pray that you will guide them, give them wisdom, and protect them. And that it will be about you, Lord, from beginning to end, and it will be for your glory, and we give you the praise and glory.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen."

John Forbes John Forbes has been living with HIV since 1995. He is an international speaker/evangelist who has 23 years of experience in the theater. His artistic pursuits were interrupted in 2001 by his AIDS diagnosis, which God used to radically turn his life around and bring him back from a place of wandering. Forbes has spoken to thousands of people worldwide about what God has done in his life and has a strong burden for the Church to respond compassionately to those with HIV/AIDS. John's prayer >>
